Core Curricula of Specialties
The core curriculum of residency training is the minimum curriculum that every programme must deliver in order to train residents in a specialty (Regulation art. 3/r). The Medical Specialty Board (TUK) prepares, or has prepared, the core curricula and announces them, updating them as needed (art. 17/2-a).
From curriculum to logbook
1 Core curriculum · Medical Specialty Board Defines the minimum knowledge, skills and attitudes to be gained in your specialty and the training activities for them. Training in every programme must meet this curriculum (art. 8/3, art. 17/2-a). |
2 Extended curriculum · Your programme Each programme prepares its own extended curriculum covering the entire core curriculum. It takes effect when the Board approves and announces it, and is updated every year (art. 3/s, art. 17/2-b). |
3 Training logbook · Your unit training supervisor Your unit training supervisor creates your logbook in line with the curriculum. You must complete the training and procedures that belong to the core curriculum within your training period (art. 17/2-c). |
